Jiuzhaigou , literally “nine village valley” is located in Sichuan, China. This name came about because there were 9 Tibetan tribes found there. It is also known as the “Dream Paradise” and “the world of fairy tales”. Be enchanted and mesmerized by the scenery which changes with the seasons. Jiuzhaigou’s is famous for the following: the crystal clear lake, the staggered waterfalls, colourful forests, snow peaked mountains. Amidst the beautiful natural surrounding lies the rich culture and history of Tibetans. In fact, water is regarded as the soul of Jiuzhaigou. Lakes in Tibetan are called “Haizi” and there are 108 “Haizi” distributed around in Jiuzhaigou which is why Jiuzhaigou is reputed to be “Jiuzhaigou gui lai bu kan shui” which meant it is one’s regrets not to come to Jiuzhaigou to admire the water scenery; and it is also reputed as “world’s king of water scenery”.

Huang Long scenic area is just adjacent to Jiuzhaigou and here lies the famous Huang Long Temple and the scenic spots which are the colourful pools, snow capped mountains, gorges and forests. Here, the mountain is shaped like a dragon and is also known as “Hidden Dragon Mountain”, the only preserved plateau wetland in China.
